My xbox live profile says it is “suspended due to an erorr in payment option”what do I do?
I’m not sure but I think it has something to do with the credit card runnIng out, however before it ran out my mom bought I new 1-year membership.and the purchase history at xbox.com confirms it.my mummy and I have overlooked the payment and bill history at xbox.com and it has done jack to tell us what’s going on or who we can contact to figure it out.the 1-year membership had been bought within a month of my account being suspended and of the credit card expiring or running out of cash.my mum refuses to put the new credit card info into the account without it unsuspending the account first however I think that would fix it.can someone tell me WTF is going on and how I can fix it?
When you purchase a Gold membership with a credit card, you need to keep a valid, active credit card on file. So… yes, you are right. If you put in the new credit card info, that will most likely resolve the issue. This is especially true if auto-renew is “on”.
However, if it turns out that you have a balance due on the account (unlikely) make sure that you also TRANSFER the balance due to the new card. It won’t do that automatically.
If you’re not sure or not getting anywhere with this call 1-800-469-9269 right away and they will help you out.
