Boston: Infiniti FX will face new competition from sister model
Recently, Infiniti corporate released pictures and a short press release to the public regarding their planned latest addition to their continuously stunning line up. Their newest model will continue the Infiniti tradition of being a seductively designed, well endowed and capable vehicle. However, unlike Infiniti’s past and current offerings, this new vehicle will give consumers a shape never before been offered by Infiniti on Boston used Infiniti dealership and new Infiniti dealership lots.
The vehicle has been named the Infiniti JX, a take off of the already available compact crossover, the Infiniti EX, and the slightly larger Infiniti FX, available for purchase at local Boston Infiniti FX dealerships. Following in alphabetical order, the Infiniti JX is set to be the largest vehicle of the three, but of course will remain smaller than Infiniti’s largest vehicle, the Infiniti QX. Naturally under Infiniti thinking, Q comes after J, meaning it must be bigger.
Thus, the new Infiniti JX will be the addition to the Infiniti lineup that is needed. Currently, consumers are stuck between the often too small, only seats five options of the EX and the FX, or the way too big, will kill your pocket book at the gas station hauler of the QX. Therefore, the Infiniti JX is a better-designed and more practical vehicle. The JX offers three rows of seating with room for seven passengers. However, it is still considered a crossover and is nowhere near as large of a vehicle as the Infiniti QX, or other SUV models on the market for that matter.
In addition to its great size, the Infiniti JX also features a great and modern-looking shape. Infiniti credits their previous concept model, the Infiniti Essence, as the inspiration for the lines found on the Infiniti JX. Like the Essence, the Infiniti JX is long and lean yet incorporates slight curves throughout its exterior. The Essence was described as having a “crescent cut” greenhouse design and this same description is being used to explain the lines of the new Infiniti JX. What’s more, the Infiniti Essences concept was meant to incorporate all of Infiniti’s designs over the past twenty years. Thus, the Infiniti JX also does this.
Nothing about the engine included with the Infiniti JX has been released thus far. However, consumers can reasonably expect that the engine will offer at least respectable gas mileage, especially for a crossover. Additionally, Infiniti has commented on the interior of the Infiniti JX, saying it will exceed anyone’s expectations.
The Infiniti JX is set to make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this coming November. From here, it will hit dealerships, such as Boston Infiniti dealership lots and Boston used Infiniti dealership lots early next spring. The first production year will be a 2013 model.
Automobile enthusiasts and Infiniti lovers will not have to wait all the way to November to learn more about this vehicle, however. Infiniti is planning another marketing event to take place at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. But until then, the only choice of Infiniti crossover vehicles for consumers, including for those residents of Boston, are the Infiniti FX and the Infiniti EX vehicles. Therefore, let’s pray time passes quickly!
